In Acumatica ERP, a dashboard is a collection of widgets that are displayed on a single page and are designed to give you needed information at a glance. A widget is a small component that displays business derived from your ERP data and external sources.  You can click any widget to further explore the information it contains. Widgets can be as simple, tactical and short term as showing a user their next task, or as complex, strategic and long term as demand planning.

The following types of widgets can be added to Acumatica dashboards:

  • Charts: Graphical representations of data from Acumatica ERP forms
  • Data tables: Data from an Acumatica ERP form arranged into rows and columns.
  • Embedded pages: Documents or images that are stored on external resources, such as cloud storage
  • Power BI tiles: Charts, scorecards, and other analytical information that is represented on Power BI
  • Scorecard KPIs: Parameters that are important for the business processes of your organization and that should be monitored regularly.
  • Trend card KPIs: Parameters whose dynamic change is important for the business processes of your organization.
  • Wiki pages: Reference articles, procedures, business plans, and other content that is frequently referenced by users

Dashboard Example: A B2B distribution company has created an Acumatica dashboard to help determine what goods to purchase for stock.  Inventory levels, current demand, and sales history are compiled and sorted by a vendor to assist in consolidating purchases.  This replaces a paper-based form that required re-keying of purchase decisions.

In Summary

In the process of improving inventory control operations, businesses should progress through several stages, starting from considering their physical material handling processes, then designing for accuracy, building for efficiency and finally benefitting from the use of their data.  Acumatica Cloud ERP has tools available to help businesses upshift through the gears to build and operate a sophisticated supply chain operation.
