Evron President Discusses Field Service In ITBusiness Magazine

In a recent article for IT Business magazine, Evron President Larry Noble discussed the value of integrated technologies in supporting a strong field service team.

In the article "Bring your field agents in from the cold", Mr. Noble noted that keeping field agents plugged into business systems at all times improves the quality of their work and gives others in the organization the vital information that they need to be effective. One example of the value of such a system is that it can save sales people and technicians from suprises on the road;

"One of the biggest troubles technicians and sales people can experience on the road is a lack of
information. If your sales people arrive at a prospect or customer office but do not know that an
open service call already exists that might influence a buying decision, it can blow the deal.

A True Solution Provider Must Give More Than Lip Service
Evron President Tells eChannelLine

eChannelLine MagazineOn August 14, 2006, Evron President Larry Noble participated in a panel discussion about the state of the IT industry on eChannelLine, the industry's leading publication for Value Added Resellers (VARs) of network infrastructure products. The discussion was prompted by recent news that Canada's largest VAR - NexInnovations Inc. - has filed for court protection from its' creditors. A similar fate recently befell The RAM Group, another large industry leader.

Mr. Noble, a member of the national ChannelLine Advisory Council, discussed the changes that have occured in the industry since the year 2000, and the importance of going beyond technology to truly understand a client's business and ones own:

"...the strongest players in the IT industry will be those who can pay more than lip service to the idea of being a "solution provider" The industry pundits have been talking up this strategy for a couple of years, and everyone is quick to adopt the idea without embracing it's principles. A true solution provider must do more than change it's Mission Statement, as a means of using the phrase "solution provider" to move more hardware and software. A true solution provider must take the time to understand their clients business and to provide valued solutions to real problems, while understanding the real costs, both to themselves and their clients."
