Managed Services / Support |

![]() |
Managed Services have proven to be a valuable and cost effective method of resolving common issues of time and expertise within internal IT departments. | ||
Whether you simply want a regular monitoring from our skilled technicians or constant, complete network support, you can trust Evron to ensure that your network is running smoothly virtually 100% of the time. It's like having your own internal IT department, but at a fraction of the cost. Youll have the peace of mind to focus on your own business and leave the rest to us.
Why Managed Services?
Time: As more demands are made on IT departments, it is common for IT staff to be over-extended. This is particularly true in small and medium-sized organizations, where it is common for all available IT staff to be assigned to critical tasks, leaving little or no time for necessary maintenance such as patching and upgrading existing systems.
Expertise: Regular training and research is critical for IT staff. Often, IT staff is not given the time necessary to base their solutions on best practices. The result may be poorly planned or executed projects, which require more extended rollouts, wasted time troubleshooting and increased expenses during and after the implementation.
Solutions based on the comprehensive managed services model can address these needs by providing the following benefits for less than customers hard and soft costs spent maintaining their own IT department:
* Access to economies of scale
* Increased IT management cost predictability
* Increased IT return on investment
* Ensure current best practices and world-class expertise
* Reduced infrastructure, staff, and training expenses
* Rapid deployment and implementation of new technologies
Organizations can use comprehensive managed services:
1) To bolster internal resources to keep systems current and enable internal
staff to focus on users immediate needs.
2) To more effectively use technology to serve their customers better.
3) To provide a higher level of technology services to internal staff so
that they can effectively do their jobs.
4) To maintain a high level of security for IT resources.
5) To ensure compliance with professional and government obligations including
software license agreements.

Inspection
We will perform a Preventative Maintenance Inspection, including review of logs, patches, and reported problems. Inspections will be performed based on an agreed upon schedule and a report will be submitted.
3. Managed Security
Areas to be addressed are:
a. Anti-virus: Services include maintenance of program signatures, integration and configuration with application software, firewall, email and other security measures.
b. SPAM Management: Ensure effective rules and procedures have been set up and are being adhered to. Determine what is being blocked. Currently, SPAM management is very time consuming. We seek to establish a daily process that would take about 10 to 15 minutes per day. We would recommend that HLM person do this task, since they would be more familiar with valid contacts.
c. Email Scanning: Email coming in and out may contain objectionable content (pornography, confidential information, overly large files, spyware, etc.). This software scans the contents of the email and rejects those that violate your company policies
d. Intrusion Detection: A network intrusion detection system is the first level of protection against remote intruders. These systems monitor all the communications that come in to your network and stop those that look suspicious. This prevents hackers from overloading your server with Denial of Server (DOS) attacks and scanning your ports for vulnerabilities.
e. Patch Management: Patch management includes updates for operating systems and anti-virus software. Patches are often released at a much greater rate than would be appropriate to implement and there are costs and risks associated with patch updates. An implementation schedule will therefore be developed in advance based on prudent industry practice.
f. Managed Firewall Service: This includes initial consulting, security auditing and review of intrusion prevention. Evron will also carry out ongoing, proactive security management; daily, weekly and monthly reporting and remote-access support.
g. Backup: Review Backup Logs
h. Optional Internet Content Filtering, Control and Reporting service: Certain
web sites and downloads are dangerous or inappropriate for the workplace.
Evron can use criteria determined by HLM management to limit the sites that
can be visited, and scans what is downloaded.
